I worked on a team that paired almost exclusively and found that this was true - but actually a positive. There was no reason to blame anyone because it was everyone's responsibility. Conversations were exclusively about how to solve the problem.

On that same team, my (great) boss loved to say "If you need to blame someone, blame me. Now how do we fix it?"

Great attitude to have.
