I think that's fine if it works best for you! I did work on a team that paired every single day. I loved it! Learned more in weeks than I would normally learn in months.

There were certainly times when I thought "do we really need to pair on this?" and it may have been extreme, but you'd be surprised how often your pair partner will mention something that makes the process much faster or makes you 5% better as a developer for the future. 1+1=3
